Fees
Our fee-only, advice-only financial planning fees are generally flat project fees or ongoing annual fees, but we also offer hourly options when appropriate.
A financial planning consultation generally starts at $2,500. The most common consultations include investment strategy (ie. portfolio second opinion) and reviewing retirement planning calculations by the client or another advisor. See below for more examples.
However, we do offer pay-as-you-go consultations starting at $525 on topics ranging from retirement planning to cross-border & expat consultations to and estate settlement advice to divorce financial advice.
A detailed retirement plan is generally $3,500 to $4,000 for a single client, $4,000 to $4,500 for a couple, and $5,000+ for complex cases like clients with corporations, US citizens in Canada, or Canadian expatriates living abroad. These fees can vary though depending on the situation. See below for more information.
A more comprehensive financial plan that includes a retirement plan, but also looks in-depth at areas like investments, insurance, tax, and estate planning, may range from $5,000 to $7,500 or more depending on a client’s goals, circumstances, and complexity. See below for more information.
Our services also include tax planning & accounting, divorce & separation financial services, and executor, probate, & estate services.
All fees are exclusive of applicable sales tax. We can provide a written quote based on an initial phone or Zoom meeting.
We work with clients across Canada as well as Canadian expats living abroad.
Since we do not sell investments or insurance, any advice related to investments or insurance is objective. We do not receive referral fees or any other compensation from third parties.
